Never heard of this problem before! Maybe you can find something about the trouble with your cdrom drive in the System Logs? Open the Event Viewer by clicking Run in the Start menu, then enter eventvwr.msc and click OK. In the Event Viewer expand Windows Logs and click System. Now look at the log entries, especially with the Level Error or Warning. Hope you can find the problem that is slowing down the transfer rate so much (if it is the transfer rate that is slowing it down, because installing a game/application is much more than just copying files, so also look at the cpu usage while installing a game/application).

Addition to Mauller07: to get the .msi files for the installations, you can use the method described at Stealthpuppy Blog. Next you can modify the .msi and install. That should work. Good luck!

It’s already on the Wish List, but it isn’t working yet. At the page in reply of aviv00 it looks like they already got Media Center migrated to Windows Server 2008, but that the only problem is that a component policy doesn’t allow it to run… Hope they find a way to circumvent it soon! 🙂

Hi Triel, I edited all files according to the install.xml. I guess it’s needed to copy and edit the following files to the new style:

Edited files:
styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html
styles/prosilver/template/ucp_prefs_personal.html

Files included in the package:
root/styles/prosilver/template/syndication_body.html
root/styles/prosilver/template/syndication_rss2.html
root/styles/prosilver/template/syndication_atom.html

I don’t have that problem in Server 2008 64bit with WinRAR 3.71. Are you sure you have selected Shell integration at the WinRAR setup? (Can be accessed by opening WinRAR -> Options menu -> Settings -> Tab Integration -> Icons in context menus check)

Context menu’s are different per user. Maybe you installed all applications under the Administrator account, and are now logged in into a limited user account you created. If for example in Editpad Prod the context menu settings can’t be set in the program options, log in onto your limited account, right click the installation file of Editpad Prod and choose “Run as Administrator”. After installing the application under the limited account the icons should also appear in that account!
