    Aliens VS Predator(2010 Game)->Works on Server 2008 R1 x64 SP2/R2 x64

in reply to: Workstation Converter 1.2 for R2? #50328

I have used teh converter on R2, however you need to do things in a certain order.

Install the graphics card driver first and foremost. This will prevent any problems with the theme service from happening. DO NOT ENABLE THE THEMES UNTILL THE REST OF THE OPTIONS ARE DONE.

Themes must be enabled last. Also DO NOT DO ANY WINDOWS UPDATES AFTER THE THEMES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. There is one update I got that broke them after I installed it. 🙁

If possible use the UXTheme patcher (windows 7 x64) from deviantart instead, and any themes there. YOU MUST USE WINDOWS 7 X64 THEMES THOSE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DO NOT GIVE ANY ISSUES.

in reply to: R2 Compatible Sound Cards? #50518

Dell typically uses intel, soundmaxx integrated audio, realtek, or marvell codec.

witch one of these do you have?

    try the windows 7 driver.

    Wow you switched OSes alot.

in reply to: New Server install (x86?) #50403

Not unless you install the vista/server 2008 platform update. it was released recently to get vista systems up to speed on some of the features windows 7 has. This is good for people who cannot afford to upgrade to windows 7, or those who have contractual agreements like enterprises.

if you install the platform update you do not need to drop the x86.

However, as always, I recommend using a 64 bit OS on 64 bit hardware. There is no reason to do so becuase you are holding your system down, and causing problems doing so.

They are no longer manufacturing 32 bit systems anymore as far as I know, in mainstream markets. Specially for server products, where servers are needing more and more resources that 32 bit OSes cannot support, as well as enhanced security, stability, and longevity.

No becuase running 32 bit OS on 64 bit hardware is still bad. I had xpsp3x32 and it would bluescreen alot, and also when I had too many browser tabs open, photoshop would not load completely. I had to close at least 3 tabs in FF/IE, reload PS again, and then it would load completely. it was annoying. I switched to server 2008 R1 x64 and it’s been so much better.

I would install R2 but I am running a full legal version my company has purchased and they will not upgrade to R2 becuase of a few issues.

I do have a copy of R2, however I am saving the 120 day trial version for later.

(Just so you aren’t confused I am remixedcat. I just had an issue with my login and I cannot reset my password becuase of email issues)

That’s good glad that is fixed then.

teamspeak may be requiring security settings that the server version of IE has on lockdown.

also you may be trying the 64 bit build of IE8 and it does not have flash support.

However with my settings it is working fully.

I suggest redoing your browser security settings, becuase by default most scripts are blocked on IE.

another app that gets problematic is photoshop!

yes they need to do the SSD problem fixing soon. the limited write cycles thing is the blow to rapid adoption of SSD drives.

in reply to: Windows 8 coming in 2011-2012?? #50191

Well he started this whole thing by:

    1) making the thread “people using windows server 2008 R1 instead of windows 7”
a)I replied to it and said that there are a few key removed features that kept me on R1 instead of R2

b)He said those features are just graphical and not a deal at all

c)I said those were a R2 breaker for ME and he kept questioning it.

2)I had a feature I suggested to have a better self healing error recovery system to help against my problem I had about the BSOD.

a)He kept denying I had the error and told me I knew NOTHING about operating systems

b)he kept making remarks about my “lack of experience” when he does NOT know me at all.

    c) kept repeatedly making remarks about me knowing nothing and kept harrassing me.

Now he goes and says I do not own my OWN BLOGSPOT. and then yells at someone who supported me and said something positive about me, so he attacks them.

I did not hack that blogspot it is all mine.

I just think that JF needs to understand how people work. I think he also needs to lay off me and leave me alone. I did nothing to hurt him and this is how he kept treating me. I truly feel sorry for him,

Yes that is my gaming company.

I have registered with another screenname on this forum since my cookies are fudged.

I cannot belive that you would question that.

JF. You are prolly the most hillarious person I know. LOL.

Me and my husband are working on the fantasy game that is listed on the site. We have stalled on the project becuase of getting a new house and it needs work.

If you are that stupid of a person to constantly troll me than you have no life.

You seem to be acting like cornwiggle, a troll who is messing up my sister’s youtube accounts, got her hacked, rated her videos really bad, and is generally acting like a douche. This seems to be you. You must be really bored. I suggest you pick up a hobby that is not so distructive, like World of warcraft at least.
