I installed with Messenger 8.5 Standalone, no problem, do not use the WLinstaller only the offline method

My Guess is Kaspersky have products aimed at Businesses, which of course they charge a higher price for, and yours is a home product, so they probably detect operating system on install and see that it is a server (Business) operating system.

I mention it because Cyberlink DVD suite, wouldn t install complained of no Direct9c, whereas it installs fine on Vista.

go to your laptops manufacturers site and download the drivers from ther, Vista of course, x86 or x64 depending on which ws2008 you have installed.
