Fallout 3 works perfectly here.
I have tested an older build and found it very good for this early stage. It was pretty fast. I have it installed in a VM right now, but had it running natively parallel to Server 2008 and Mac OS X!
But without Service Pack Betas there would be a lot more bugs in the final! I used all SP3 betas for XP when they came out and I didn’t have any problems. But this is different for everybody!
Yes you have to call M$ for the second activation or find a way to deactivate the first installation. I already have two keys because of this^^
Well, I am going to download this beta and try it out. BTW Server 2008 R2 will, in contrast to windows 7, only be available as 64-bit version (and Itanium, not that it matters^^)
I didn’t have a problem during the install, it worked just fine. Must be something else.
I have a X-Fi Surround USB and I have very poor Bass output with the bass-redirection activated. It’s like a vibration sound. I have yet to test it under Vista…
Hm now I can start Halo 2 but I can’t use Live or Network sub menus, they are grayed out. Any ideas?
PS: I have a valid key and Live Account and it is logged into Live correctly. What I mean is for example when you hit install side bar button in the program it asks for the dvd and then extracts the files from the dvd and you wouldn’t have to include these files, thus making the package smaller!
I am trying th XP installer 0.3 right now. I’ll report back if it works or not!
EDIT: No it does not work!
One thing I’d like to see would be the games explorer. Is it possible to extract the files for i.e. Side Bar from the Vista DVD? That way you wouldn’t have to include all the files!
BTW great tool! -
