How do I get the sound themes from Win7 over to 2008R2?
I know how to load regular visual themes, but how do I get the sounds integrated into the Sound control panel, grouped in their themes?
Hello wkearney99,
Didn’t test it but I think you have to copy over the following folder and registry branches from Windows 7:
C:WindowsMedia
HKEY_CURRENT_USERAppEventsSchemesApps
HKEY_CURRENT_USERAppEventsSchemesNames
Within the apps branch in the registry multiple apps might be listed that use events that can generate sounds, however by default there are only .Default, Explorer and sapisvr.
Let me know if it works! 🙂
