very poor perfs… what is missing ?

Hi,

On a dell latitude E6400 laptop, Win 7 x64 is working perfectly. The laptop is a core 2 duo, 4GB ram and a Mobile Intel Media Accelerator X4500HD as gpu.

However, when I install Win 2008 R2 X64, everything is slow : aero, file copy, etc… whole responsiveness is low.

I may have missed something, but I don’t know what.

Here what I’ve done :
* installed win 2008 r2
* installed all drivers including latest intel inf chipset utility and intel gma drivers
* added the desktop experience feature
* enable autostart of the “themes” service
* set up the performance preference to applications first.
