Both Origin and Steam games seem to be running perfectly fine on Windows Server 2016 RTM (Standard Edition). I’ve installed and played multiple games on both platforms from different developers, with no issues or crashes to date so far.
If needed I can list out all of the games individually that I have tested personally on both clients.

All source games works perfectly for me (CS:GO, TF2….)… Also Pillars of Ethernity works like charm..
But i strongly recommend going to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionMultimediaSystemProfileTasksGames
and change the following registry values:
“GPU Priority” change its values to 8.
“Priority” set to 6.
This will set games for higest priority in system.. They are normaly set lowest on Windows Server !
