No details pane, where could it be?

Hi guys, just trying out this 2k8 workstation thing. Most things seem to work fine, but i can’t enable the explorer details pane (nor the preview pane, but i don’t care about that one). In Organize -> Layout menu the only available choice is the Navigation Pane.

This is a thread about getting rid of it, so it seems it should be available in 2k8 at least…

I’ve tried explicitly disabling the Policies mentioned in that post, but that made no difference. I also have the Desktop Experience feature installed.
