      Hello,
Here are installers of some Windows 7 features, which I made, for Windows Server 2008 r2.
(All files are taken from Windows 7 Ultimate RTM Eng build 7600 (final build).)

Windows 7 “Game Controllers” Control Panel applet.

      Gameux.dll from Windows 7.

      Windows 7 Aero Cursors.

      Windows 7 Sidebar.

You must extract it (using 7-Zip) to some (whatever) folder on your system drive (containing Windows dir) and run install.cmd.
      Enjoy… 😉

Wow, you did a great job Daniel! I’m currently working on the Windows Server 2008 R2 to workstation Manual at http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/ and these archives including installers are very usefull for this! 😀 I will add them there (possibly slightly modified) too with credits to you! :geek:

        Nice work! 🙂

Btw. I trashed your torrent with languagepacks because I don’t want this forum to be in the gray area between legal en illegal; we ‘ll just wait to the moment Microsoft offers the iso’s on their website. Also, most people have loads of other sites where they can get this stuff. 😉 Don’t worry about that.

I made another installers – for dmusic and xinput. 🙂

Xinput9_1_0.dll (dll/mui files are from Windows 7 RTM, cab/inf files from DX SDK.)

MS DirectMusic Core Services (dll/mui files are from Windows 7 RTM, inf file is from dmusic package from old Win 2008 r1 Workstation site).
        http://www.4shared.com/file/123511448/8fc933f/dmusic.html

        Enjoy! 😉

btw. The only two things, I can’t get working are Game Explorer and Bluetooth drivers. 🙁
So, this is the reason, I have still r1 as an primary OS…

I will prolyl wait to get R2 will I get an SSD drive. heard it runs much faster and is optimised for and SSD disk. The current ones out now though have some issues I would like to see worked out so I’m gonna wait for the next gen ones. hopefully wil be early next year!

I added these features to the Wish List. As I also mention in the Wish-posts: Isn’t it possible to use the methods they also used to get them working in Windows Server 2008 (Non-R2)?

            Sadly, no. 🙁
Looks like the old methods from r1 doesn’t work… :-/
