So I have a friend who wants to go 7, but doesn’t have the money to do so. He is a student, so he has access to DreamSpark (and can thus get Server R2). I know the biggest deal-breaker for me on R2 is the utter lack of SuperFetch support, but he may or may not care. What’s important is if he installs this OS on his laptop, will the power management features be available in full?
R2 doesn’t have Mobility Center.

I wonder if we could get that working somehow.. 😉
Here is a SuperFetch Replacement that seems to work.
