I have an Inspiron 1720. Back on XP, I had to use IntelliType in order to get iTunes to recognize the multimedia keys.
I’m currently using WinServer 2008 Ent x64 and it only recognizes the volume keys – the multimedia buttons do nothing, unless iTunes is the active window.
Has anyone seen this happen before? If so, how do I fix it?
Thanks;
Same issue here, Server 2008 Standard x86.
For reference for anyone who find this post through a search:
The IntelliType installer checks and doesn’t let you install it on Server OSs but you can extract the exe with 7Zip or something and then run setupstb.msi in the extracted files.
For me, after installing, all extra keys worked right away and yet to see any issues.
