I have server 2008 R2 SP1 RTM build installed on an H57 chipset Gigabyte motherboard + i3 540. When I try to install the intel HD graphics drivers, it errors out and says unable to register this DLL: mfx_mft_h264vd_32.dll
Tried different versions of the driver with no dice.
Funny thing is that I had Server 2008 R2 RTM (no SP1) installed before on the same hardware and had NO issues with installing the video drivers. I even tried using the older drivers from the working install and it gave the same error.
Other than trying to install Server 2008 R2 without SP1 again, is there anything else I could try?
The DLL’s description says it’s “Intel Hardware h.264 decoder MFT”
