i dont know where to post this either….
My server 2008 needs about 4 minutes to start.
Is there a way to speed this up?
One hint i’ve found so far:
http://www.vista-pitstop.de/index.php?title=Systemstart_beschleunigen
Translation:
in MSconfig goto start, ?enhanced options?, set number of cpus.
I remember seeing that tip a while ago, you shouldn’t use it. Not only does your OS use the entire processor already on startup, but changing the value in that setting can make your system unstable.
Wot?
really?
This tip do not speed up the start up. It is just an option for debugging.
use hibernation much faster and stable
