        Questions

If you have a question, contact [localurl=ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=3793:66tj0gnr]hackerman1[/localurl:66tj0gnr], (or [localurl=ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=2:66tj0gnr]Arris[/localurl:66tj0gnr]) via PM and we will answer your question the best we can,
and then place it below if we think it will be asked by more members.
Please make sure your question hasn’t already been answered on the PHPBB Forum-FAQ.
Some questions are re-posted here as they include additional information that is not posted in the PHPBB Forum-FAQ.

Q: My post’s links have been changed !
        What happened ?
A: You most likely had misleading links or your were linking to offensive sites.

My post has been scrambled !
        Why ?
A: If your post used to be “normal” like this:

Win2008Workstation.com and its R2 counterpart are very useful sites.
They really help you convert your Windows Server into a lightning-fast workstation that can easily replace your desktop operating system.

        and it turned into this:

2tna0owTisiwo80nrk.cmo nda sti 2r ocatruptner era veyr fsuule itsse. Yeht alleyr leph uyo ocntvre oury Iownwsd Erevsr ntoi a ginihnlgt-fats aktiwnsorto atth acn yalesi cplaree oyru dstpeok rtnpigaeo tessmy.

Your post most likely was offensive or was talking about warez, so a staff member scrambled it so it is unreadable.
Usually a mod will leave an explanation in your post saying why they edited it.

Note: Posts that are against the rules will normally be edited, and the links removed.
But if there is nothing useful left to read after removing the links, then the whole post will be deleted…. 😉

What are the different types (Ranks) of members on these forums ?

Administrators have full access and control over the forums & website, via the use of the Admin Control Panel.
They can warn, ban, and delete members.
And also modify any members signature, avatar or profile.

Administrators also have access to updating the homepages:
        http://www.win2008workstation.com/
        http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/
        http://www.win2012workstation.com/
        Note: The WS10 homepage doesn´t exist yet…

Moderators are able to lock / unlock, move, merge, split, edit, delete, sticky (and more), topics and posts,
to help keep the forum under control.
They have access to the Moderator Control Panel which helps them do their job much easier.
They can warn / ban users when appropriate.

If you have been unfairly warned or banned, contact an Administrator.
Please contact the Moderator first to see why they have warned you or banned you.

Administrators and Moderators have access to a “Staff Only” forum for discussions regarding forum management.

        Win2008Workstation Expert
These members are people that have good knowledge about the internals of the Windows Operating System,
and are helping a lot of people in the Win2008[R2]Workstation Community.

Registered Users make up the majority of the forum.
They can create topics, post and delete their own posts, view attachments, have a signature and avatar.

Note: these different “Ranks” of Members are based on post count.

        [Bot], [Spider], [Tracker]
These are robots that index pages on the site for search engines and ranking sites.
They can only view the forum.

        Guests are unregistered users.
They can only view the forum.

        Note: 2014-11-26
This post is being restored after being accidentally deleted, work in progress… 😉
So part of it might look a bit weird for a while, like no images etc.
