Hi !
Installing Comodo Firewall v6.3 (6.3.297838.2953)
Comodo v6.3 can be installed by extracting cis_setup_x64.msi from cfw-installer, and editing it with Orca.
Full instructions in Guides: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=2551
But, this will install “the whole package”, Comodo Antivirus & Firewall,
without giving you any options about what to install, and where.
The reason for this is that cmdinstaller is started after the initial options-menu,
so extracting all files and then starting cmdinstaller doesn´t work.
It runs for just a second, and then nothing happens….
The location can be changed with a a registry-hack, see instructions in Guides,
but it would be nice to be able to select what to install.
A processtrace with fx. Processmonitor might reveal exactly what happens when the cfw-installer is started.
If you know how to trace processes this might be something to check…
Maybe we can find a workaround to this problem, so we can get the “normal” installer-menu with all options ?
