          Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 works without any problems on Windows Server 2008 R2. I’ve seen Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 working on Windows 7 so I expect they ‘ll work on Server 2008 R2 fine too. I haven’t tested Hyper-V yet because I currently use VMware virtualization software.
