there isnt much you can do, it just plainly uses more ram.
I have converted to R2 after reading about the conversion.
I dont really care about superfetch, not missing it.
I also managed to edit imageres.dll so i dont get the blue and yellow noobie admin icon on system tasks. Happy so far!
Still have some changes i want to put in though, but im getting there.
I know this is old question, but the latest catalyst 10.3a preview is absolutely perfect.
Holy crap, i just went through this problem last night. I tried reinstalling the themes, uninstalling desktop experience, no matter what i did, it ended up like that, with just “loading” on the options.
In the end after i had spent over an hour on it, i decided to reinstall from scratch, since a reinstall took less time then i had spent on it.I have stopped using the converter, and just went through the guide manually, and it seems to be the best way to stop it from happening again.
I have a microsoft lifecam, and didnt even need to install drivers for it.
Make sure the WIA service is running.
I know for a fact that creative labs x-fi extreme gamer is definitely compatible.
Im using the youpax drivers for it, but creative also has a driver for it. It works flawlessly, apart from the whole not being able to use the hardware acceleration in vista/7 class OSes. -
