First post is still incorrect. If you want an accurate list of what works and what doesn’t, you need to modify the list to reflect the programs that actually do work, like the MSE 2.0. A moderator needs to correct this list as Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0 Beta does work.

Yeah. I just keep it simple with stuff like that. Computer description/name, etc. Couldn’t think of anything else I’d like to put there. I thought that screenshot would resize, but it didn’t.

First post is incorrect. Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0 Beta does work. Needs to be changed to reflect this. Screenshot proof is attached.

I found that the copy of MSE on Microsoft Security Essentials won’t install due to incompatible OS. I was going to try the trick with using WinDbg to modify the setup file which didn’t work either.

So, I decided to go check out the new MSE 2.0 beta on Microsoft Connect. Installs perfectly fine and runs just as well. I don’t even notice a degradation in speed.

I downloaded it from Connect and uploaded to Mediafire for you all to enjoy. You shouldn’t have any problems. I’m using Server 2008 R2 Standard with all updates and no SP1 beta.

Just so you know, Vista SP1 and Server 2008 Enterprise have the same build number. 6.0.6001.18000. Vista RTM’s build number was 6.0.6000.16386. I use Server 2008 Enterprise on my laptop.
