There is no restrictions really because 640×480@8-bit is native mode for fallout 1-2.

Fixes: Install killap’s unofficial patch and high-res mod.Got both Fallouts working without any patches.
Compatibility mode with windows 95.
Resolution restriction to 640×480 and color restriction to 256 ticked.
No bugs or glitches found. -
