      Hi !

After some research i found info saying that installing DirectX 9 and doing some hacking solves the problem.
You need to copy an older version of opengl32.dll from system32 to the MOHAA-folder.
But how to do i get the “right” version of opengl32.dll ?

          Any ideas ?

Medal of Honor, Allied Assault is listed as working on R2 in the Games Compatibility-thread: http://www.win2008workstation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5471#p5471

Can someone else please confirm that it´s working on R2 ?

I did a search in the forum and found this post regarding MOHAA Pacific Assault:http://www.win2008workstation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3386#p3386

I wonder if that might help….?

                Interesting info.
But, those screenshots from MDL & Neowin can´t be viewed !

May i suggest that you post the picture here, or upload them somewhere, so we all can see them ?

                    hi !

I saw today that someone now has listed Avast 7 as working on the Securitysoftware-list.
But it should perhaps be mentioned that the first Avast 7-version (7.1407) does NOT work !
                    Atleast not on my PC……
My PC hangs both during installation and afterward when trying to do just about anything with AVAST.
I had to do a “hardkill”, removing both the power supply and the battery !

However, i installed the latest version (7.1426), and it installed normally, and also started normally.
So make sure you get the latest version if you are going to install AVAST…. 😉

from wikipedia regarding ext4:”Another option for using ext4 in Windows is to use Ext2Fsd [20], a free-software program that recently has added support of writing in ext4 under Windows.”

if that doesn´t work then you can download a linux-distribution, like fx. Ubuntu and then run the Linux-live demo, or get Knoppix.
Knoppix is excellent if you need to access yor Windows-partitions and fx. copy files that you normally can´t access while your running your Windows O/S or if you can´t login to your O/S.

                              hi !

How to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2012

                              run the Kaspersky-installer
while it´s unpacking the files go to your temp-folder and copy the 3 Kaspersky-files (kavkis.cab, kavkis.msi, setup.exe) to another folder

open Orca and edit your new copy of kavkis.msi:
                              edit “Tables”
                              go to “InstallUISequence”
                              search for “ErrorIncompatibleOSTypeSet”
                              drop row
                              close Orca & save kavkis.msi
                              run setup.exe

and if you have other A/V´s or firewalls installed and want to keep them, then run setup.exe with “/SKIPPRODUCTCHECK=1”

i now have both superfetch AND readyboost working ! 😎

and i did it all manually, no GUI & no script…

i found several problems / errors explaning why it didn´t work previously.
i´ll be back tomorrow with more detalied info.

The Superfetch pack in R2ConvGUI is not really the same one that you can download from this post. We needed to change some settings in it because we noticed that on reboot Superfetch service was not working properly.

Also readyboost.reg file is already applied in R2ConvGUI.

I just thought you may wanted to know this.

                                  thanks for the info.

yes, i know the readyboost reg-file is already included in the superfetch reg-file.
that was one reason for why i couldn´t understand why i should also run the readyboost reg-file, AFTER the superfetch reg-file.

and i HAVE used the superfetch reg-file from the GUI-converter.

i have now one thing left to test, manually copying all files, and then run the script from the converter (except the file extraction).

the weird thing is that the “LocalNetWorkRestricted”-settings in registry looks exactly the same both when done manually and after running the GUI.
manually i have just added: “SysMain” to that setting.
should something else be entered somewhere ?

anyway, i´ll be back after some more testing…
