This update adds MPEG-2 Video Decoder (msmpeg2vdec.dll) and MPEG-2 Audio Decoder (msmpeg2adec.dll)!
But the MPEG-2 Encoder (msmpeg2enc.dll) is still missing.
If you also want MPEG-2 Encoder, please apply the installer below.

      Enjoy! 😉

Trying to use the installer but 7-zip refuses to decompress the file… Maybe something got broken?

Yes, there seems to be something wrong….
I just downloaded the 7zip-file and i also get an error.
But as posted above, it´s included in the server converter for R2.

You can now download the server converter directly from our own Onedrive:
        https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlP8qLrG9PBabcaS6UeF8_mTHsk

Just click on the link, or enter the URL above in your browser, and the download should start automatically.
Note: it might take a few seconds (10-20) before it starts, just be patient …

I have personally double-checked all the files in the archive (RAR) with Virustotal today (2016-11-22)
        And it is CLEAN !

Today i noticed the request for a link to “MICROSOFT SERVER CONVERTER R3
I didn´t think about the version when i read the post first time…. 😉
So I have updated my previous post above, with a clarification about “MICROSOFT SERVER CONVERTER R3”.

There are no link to “share”…
              Why ?
Because there is no “MICROSOFT SERVER CONVERTER R3” !
It does not exist, at least not yet….
The latest server converter is R2, for WS2008-R2.

But as i already posted when the WS-10 technical preview was released: you can use the instructions for WS2012.

Also, read my previous post above:

For some strange reason the files have been deleted on mega.nz.
I´m going to upload all tools to another location, but not today…. 😉

                          You talk about WS2008.

This thread is about System Restore on WS2008-R2.
                          WS2008 and WS2008-R2 are 2 different operating systems…. 😉

Have you noticed that the tread is about System Restore on WS2008-R2…?

Anyway, i don´recommend using System Restore, it´s unreliable.

It´s better and safer to create “real backups” instead, with imaging software.
Older versions of Macrium Reflect (v4.2 build 3775) works on WS.
That is what i´m using myself.

I find it very odd that first you ask for the download yourself,
then a few months later you have “found it on a old computer”.

Which of course makes me wonder what “your” file contains…

And what is wrong with the link in the first post ?
Does it not work anymore ?

                              I removed your post.
I don´t have time to check any downloads at the moment, but i will take a look at this later.

NOTE: DO NOT POST A LINK TO THAT FILE AGAIN !

Thank you for the information, however the post on MDL says:
“The Work is tested on Windows Home Server 2011 (VHS-2011/ Vail)
but I’m sure it will work also on other 2011 servers:
                                  Storage Server Essential 2008r2 (SSE2008r2 / Breckenridge)
and, possibly on Small Business Server 2011 (SBS 2011 / Aurora).

Likely the Standard 2008r2 Servers will require more work because missing codecs/drivers and so on.”

there is a link to another thread which in turn references another post,
which contains a confusing text about 2 needed exe-files,
with a reference to yet another post about one of the exe-files,
and references to a script mentioned somewhere else…

Typical for MDL, there are a lot of useful information over there, the problem is to find it… 😉
