  • Well well well. I finally managed to get the audio working with DC7100 onboard soundcard.
From dev manager i took the hardware id and googled it which lead me to some Dell x64 compatible drivers. Windows ofcourse warned that this driver is not compatible but it installed ok and audio is working as it should.

And the issue why the sound didn’t work before because there is a registry key that should have audio jacks configuration in it. The previous driver that i used did not have the info how to add all thats needed.
For my pc it was HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}007Settings.

Maybe thats useful for someone, but for me Server to Workstation conversion is now complete.

I installed just 10.6 CCC package then extracted 11.2 driver and installed the driver manually. Both installed fine. Now i have CCC.exe and MOM.exe proccesses running but the actual CCC gui never shows up. .Net framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 are also installed.

I have now found a way to remove the black borders around the screen when connected via HDMI. Click here for How to

in reply to: Front and rear audio not working only from internal speaker #51701

There is actually a raiser card available to install full size PCI cards, but then i only have room for two, right now i already have second nic, Ati graphics and SATA raid controller.

I could use the graphics card via HDMI and get sound but i havent got ATI CCC fully working, the display has black border around the edges of the screen.
For now i made myself an usb soundcard using broken Logitech headset 😀 . And it sounds actually better than the onboard audio. So i am happy for now.
Still would like to get everything working and i think next step is to install Win7 and see if i get sound working with windows update drivers or with some others.

    Hi,

Thanks for your replys and suggestions, i have tryed all of those but nothing changes.

Is there some registry keys for enabling /disabling rear and front audio jacks? Because it seems like windows does not know that there is those jacks present.
I am thinking to install Win 7 x64 on same hardware and see if its possible to get working driver from Windows Update.
Or is there a way to fool WU that i have Windows 7 instead of Server 2008R2?

One other thing i noticed is that Mic works on the front panel. So there is just something missing somewhere. In the registry maybe.
