  • If you edit all the MSI files, everything works perfectly including Overdrive in Catalyst or whatever third party app you choose exactly as if it was Windows 7. Just edit every MSI file in the C:ATI folder you find with my changes.

You are simply adding the OS to the enabled OS list in the installer. Once you get this far you shouldn’t have any issues

Great work! Using your post I have found a MUCH easier way…

Edit the MSI files you have mentioned.

Look for in the table, ATI_OS_Include and select it.

    You will see something like…
    Index: 1
    OS: WIN_WIN7_64 (or WIN_WIN7 for 32 bit)
    Version: 6.1
    Is 64 bit: yes
    IsWindowsServer:

    Add a new line

    Index: 2
    OS: WIN_WIN2008_64 (or WIN_WIN2008 for 32 bit)
    Version: 6.1 (for 2008 server R2)
Is 64 Bit: yes (blank for 32 bit)
    IsWindowsServer: yes

Took an educated guess but this worked for me
