I have an older USB bluetooth adapter, and I used the instructions at http://www.dev-toast.com/2007/01/05/uncrippling-bluetooth-in-vista-rtm/

It works great, the only drawback is I have to press F8 when booting and choose “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.” Does anyone know how to disable it permanently, so I don’t have to go through the boot menu every time?

Thanks! It worked, even though the explanation given there makes it sound like maybe it belonged in the low risk section. I never would have looked under “Attachment Manager” to accomplish this!

I’ve got network synchronization working now, so that’s good enough. The Palm Desktop program for Vista is a little squirrely, so that’s where my problem was.

I guess the fact that Palm is not interested in 64 bit drivers is not a good sign for their (Palm’s) future.

I get the music stutter whenever my system goes into “secure mode” but I’ve disabled everything that puts it there now except for when I press ctrl-alt-del.

I’m using Hyper-V with an XP VM and a Vista VM and it seems to be working fine. I got my system upgraded from 2 GB to 4 GB and that helped a lot (I can assign 1 GB to each of my VMs). For some reason, the Vista VM seems to work faster than the XP though. The only networking issue I have had was that I didn’t realize I had to go in and “add hardware” to tell the VMs that they have a NIC.

Also make sure you install the Integration Services in each of your VMs. It really adds a lot (I was especially annoyed at having to push ctrl-alt-left to get out of the VM window, so I was quite happy to find that I no longer need to).

Thanks. The drivers installed OK, but the sound was awful. I ended up using the integrated audio on the motherboard instead. (The integrated audio sounded horrible on Windows 2000, which is why I was using the Sound Blaster card.) It turns out that Intel’s 64 bit Vista driver for the integrated audio works very well – it sounds much better than it ever did on Windows 2000.
