It has, but, as Windows 8, it is disabled by default.
can the sound be enabled in ws2k12???

for now. Then, you have to look for a way to enable this in Windows 8. I have not done this.

I know. That policy is probably a neccesary condition to enable the startup/shutdown sound, but not an enough one. This is why I give a second link, something I have not tested myself. As for me, if it is disabled by default in Windows 8, I guess I can live without it in WS2012. If anyone else wants to try, this is why I gave the second link.
has any one found a workaround to get the start-up sound working 🙄
