I have managed to get the default Vista-based “Security Center” service installed and control panel applet working with only a slight functionality problems. The current problems I have is that “change the way security alerts me” will open but you cannot click on 1 of the 3 options (it does nothing) nor does the security center icon show up in the system tray right yet. Everything else is in working order. I am still in the process of registry hunting/researching to find some dependent keys that is causing these links not to work. I am also going to run process monitor to see if I can uncover any .dlls I might have missed. Other then that it looks good. Here’s a little teaser below! If I finish (hopefully) i will post the install script with instructions at a later date!
