I followed this guide http://www.mcflymethod.com/indexb.asp?txtscreen=1920 to remove the Activation from windows 2008.
But… I think its to much work so i made this batchfile for automated removal.http://www.axzell.com/scripts/server2k8_validation_removal.cmd
Download and run as Administrator (or you can modify the file with your own admin account).I have tested this file on 2 of my 2008 servers and they both work after i turned the clock forward to 30 oktober 2009. Windows update works too :), and the most important thing, the roles manager work! 🙂

For some reason didn’t it work for me. But I dont really know why.
Anyone else who tried this?
Edit*
I tried to turn the clock forwards to December 2009 and it worked. It just said activation was needed but I could use the computer as always.Does that mean it works?

I made adjustments to the batchfile.
“c:windows” is replaced by “%systemroot%” in case someone installs their system differently from the standard location.
