Hi, I recently installed my workstation, but I’m having weird visual anomalies.
I have trouble getting my system to permanently “Show Window while dragging” as well as Drop Shadow on Desktop Icons, and Transparent Selection Window.
Everytime I log out of my session, it always returns back to this state, and I’m not sure how to fix it.

Nevermind, found a fix at
http://www.win2008workstation.com/win2008/themesif anyone cares, go to run -> systempropertiesperformance -> set it from there
apparantly that’s different from doing it from computer properties

Thank you!
I also had this problem but it didn’t bother me much because I almost never log out or shut down the machine (I use Sleep function every night).
What did bother me is that I couldn’t enable some visual effects under limited user account (see this topic) and your solution magically solved this problem as well! 😎 - 6th October 2009 at 16:30 #59611Anonymous
