        I use Windows Server 2008 as a workstation and I’m happy… but how can I speed up the bootup? Which services I do not need if I don’t use server 2008 as a server but as a WLAN Internet/Office/Gaming PC(Laptop)?

          Take a look at the topic Win 2008 Services Tuning in the Application Compatibility forum. Some people listed their disabled services. For more information about services you can also take a look at http://www.speedyvista.com/services.html list for many services that are in Windows Server 2008 too.
