I’m looking to run 2008 R2 as a desktop o/s on an actual Proliant Server. I’ve seen others mention doing something similar but have no idea how this will work. My reasons are to take advantage of my 4 physical dual core cpus and 64 gigs of ram. My understanding is that the modded 2008 R2 removes the o/s verifier step or allows 3rd party applications to view the server o/s as regular Windows 7 allowing me to hopefully install most regular desktop apps with no issue. Anyone have any insight into this? Should I expect any problems? Thanks.
