Im trying to restore .pst backup files from the time I used Vista.
But the message I get is: The file may not be compatible with this version of Outlook or it may be corrupted.
Is this due to Server 2008 or something else?

This can’t be a problem of Windows Server 2008. Are you importing a .pst file from a newer version of Outlook into an older version of Outlook on your Server 2008? (I.E. Outlook 2007 -> Outlook 2003)?
If not maybe the file is corrupted. To fix it read the following article:
support.microsoft.com: How to use the Inbox Repair Tools to recover e-mail messages in Outlook 2002, Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2007Good luck!
