Hi, I need to be able to redirect the local lpt port to a network share. This worked great for me in vista x64 but now after i run the command net use lpt1 \myservermyshare it gives me the error System error 85 has occurred. The local device name is already in use.
I have no idea how to fix this and I have truly looked everywhere. If anyone could help that’d be great.
PS. I think this is in the most relevant forum but if not my apologies.
Try a different LPT port, LPT2 for example. Your physical hardware is already addressing LPT1 & there is no way to have two with the same name.
