One Question: You can activate the “games” startmenu entry and when you click on it, the game explorer apperars, but without any games… You can’t drop link-files in it to add games… You do you get it working in server 2008?
Hey wolfi.thomas,
After you have followed the Missing Gameux.dll tutorial, you will get the Game Explorer. I just tried to add games using the Vista Game Explorer Editor, but after some clicks it crashes with a NullReferenceException. Creating the key GameUX in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion and within creating a new key with the SID of my useraccount I don’t get that error any longer, but still a warning that I fist have to start the Game Explorer 1 time before I can add games…
Will take a look at this later! 🙂
Thank you for your advice… I filled in the gameux.dll so I got the game explorer but I have the same problems you wrote… We will see…
