Hi this hotfix is for Windows 2008 Server all versions, and apparently fixes issues with slow transfer over Firewire.
I decided to make the download available to you from my sky drive because Microsoft don’t have a direct download to the hotfix, and it cost me 180 euros in Microsoft Support to get them to send me the link to the hotfix. You can read the full KB article here : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951410

My Firewire was transferring at around 33% of the speed it should, so lets see if this hotfix works, will update this post when I test it tomorrow….
If you want to read my blog post, on the exact problem I was facing you can read about that here: http://readmystuff.wordpress.com/2008/11/10/firewire-vs-usb-speed-comparison/
Ok – I tried this hotfix but it didn’t work now my firewire is transferring even slower at 3.3MB/s.
!!Uninstalled the hotfix and its back to around 12-13MB/s…
Does anyone else out there have this same problem or is it just me?
