I have a problem with the remote in a HP dv8 laptop, I have followed the guide to the letter
but the remote just doesn’t seem to work
I have tried anything but nothinga. With NO driver installed, device manager shows it as unknown device
But the remote partially works, the volume buttons and everything work
except the play/pause button
b. I have tried the driver from http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/…ir-transceiver
but while the device is installed the remote doesn’t work
b. With the driver from the drivers page ENE CIR Receiver Windows 7 x86/x64 2.7.4.0
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=404164
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp44501-45000/sp44983.exe
the device manager shows the ENE CIR Receiver driver installed OK
but the resources tab shows that resources are shared with motherboard
and the remote doesn’t work, no buttons work at all
c. With the driver from the HP drivers page ENE CIR Receiver Windows 7 x86/x64 2.7.4.0
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s…roduct=4034201
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45009.exe
the device manager shows the ENE CIR Receiver driver installed OK
but the resources tab shows that resources are shared with motherboard
and the remote doesn’t work, no buttons work at all
d. I have even tried older drivers like 1.3.066 or 2.5
but while the device is installed the remote doesn’t workIs there any solution to the remote driver problem?
It is just a PITA, what is the purpose of the remote if the play/pause button (the most important button) doesn’t workAny help would be greatly appreciated
