Yes! (And Google can confirm it).

After some investigation i have also found some information saying it should work,
so i wanted to doublecheck.
But i also found info saying it doesn´t work on Vista if the key is from Vista SP1 and the software is RTM (no Service pack),
so it´s a real mess with productkeys on Vista.
The reason for asking is a 64-bit OEM-key that is not accepted on a 32-bit version of Vista.
But it might be because it´s OEM… - 13th February 2014 at 22:40 #61047Anonymous
From Windows Vista and later, both OEM and Retail can be installed using the same DVD. Also, the product key is valid for both the x86 and x64 version.
In the Windows XP age, there were different CDs for each OEM, Retail, VL version of Windows so you needed to have the correct CD with a certain product key. Also the different architectures needed different keys.
Service Packs don’t influence the product key needed for installation. Only in case of installing Windows 8.1 replacing the old Windows 8, I found that you need to install windows 8.1 with a generic product keys (below) first, and then after installation change them to the product key previously used by Windows 8. Not really sure though if 8.1 can be called the SP1 of Windows 8. 😕 😉
