Will 64 bit drivers intended for Windows XP work? My Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card doesn’t have a Vista driver available. It looks like the closest thing is a 64 bit XP beta driver from 2005. I am using the 64 bit version of Windows 2008 Server.
Hey,
Windows XP drivers won’t work, but I guess you can use the Windows Vista (x64) drivers from http://forums.creative.com/. 🙂
Hope these drivers work! :geek:
Thanks. The drivers installed OK, but the sound was awful. I ended up using the integrated audio on the motherboard instead. (The integrated audio sounded horrible on Windows 2000, which is why I was using the Sound Blaster card.) It turns out that Intel’s 64 bit Vista driver for the integrated audio works very well – it sounds much better than it ever did on Windows 2000.
Okay! Good to hear that you got your audio working! 😉
