I think you also installed the Skype browser plugin which converts phonenumbers into clickable links to call them directly using Skype. To remove/disable the plugin use one of the following tutorials, depending the browser you are using to view your email:
* Internet Explorer: MyDigitalLife – Disable, Uninstall and Remove Skype Add-On Call This Phone Number on Web Page and Toolbar Plugin Menu in IE;
* Firefox: the How-To Geek – Manually Remove Skype Extension from Firefox.
